Tonight marked the start of my archery turkey journy. I ran out to a property quickly after work. A big nasty storm cell forced me to sit in the truck an extra half hour, but all was well. I'm hunkered down in small field surrounded by roost trees. 45 minutes into some light calling, boom, out of no where stood the gobbler. The closest he came was about 65 yards. He exited the field and flew up to roost about 100 yards from me. I slid out and learned a bunch about his lifestyle. Game on gobbler. Let it begin!
