Hot, hot, hot. I did some more work on the plots.
I moved stands, trimmed up my lanes, and did some brush spraying. Above is the view from my stand overlooking the saddle plot. Wow! Did it ever thicken up from last year. Can you say security cover!?!
The new plot is, well, in need of more sweat. I have very little options for hanging a stand. My best option entailed a good amount of trimming back the edge brush. It still needs some trimming but I got the majority of it done and the stand hung. Like an idiot, I didn't pack any beverages so I started to feel a bit funky and had to bail. When it's that hot and humid staying hydrated is no joke. Drink and drink some more.
I got some brush sprayed and will need more rounds of weed spray. New plots in tight quarters can be a task to kill of the established weeds, but stay on it and it will start to take shape. The damn golden rods are my biggest problem. Oh they are going to die!
The journey to killing deer continues...
